Who are these designer headshots for?

Our images are for anyone who understands the importance of investing in themselves. Being successful in business doesn’t come from being average and doing the bare minimum. Your headshot is a direct extension of your accomplishments — let’s make it shine.


Where is your studio located?

My studio is located in a quiet neighborhood, not far from Lake Merritt in sunny Oakland, California. It's quick and easy to access from the I-580.


Do you travel?

Yes!

My studio is completely mobile and can be taken anywhere. The typical travel Fee for local businesses is ~$175. Contact us for details.


What does a typical headshot session look like?

Whether in-studio or on-site, creating a laid back shooting environment is one of the secret ingredients to Brian’s success.

It’s really more like casually hanging around the studio with your friends cracking jokes.

When you arrive, we’ll discuss the different clothing options you brought and see what’s going to translate best in camera. Brian is seasoned at giving instructions and direction to achieve the desired expressions and angles that he needs from you. You’ll never have to wonder if you are doing the right thing, standing the right way or making the right face to the camera. You just have to be open and present and leave the rest up to him. If you’re lucky, Brian may even crack some of his “award winning” dad-jokes to get you laughing.

Once we feel we have some great shots, we’ll review a few of them together and decide if we want to change up the clothing and vibe or if we want to call it a day.


Do you provide hair & Makeup?

Not at this time, unfortunately.


How do I select which images I like?

Typically within 48 hours I will upload the images to an online viewing gallery. You can "heart up" your favorite shots there and even share the link with friends to get their input. When you are ready you can submit your favorites for my feedback and additional review.

I always point out your strong images (and will let you know if what we love isn’t mentioned in your top picks). Once both parties agree on a final selection, we will get it into the queue for retouching and polishing.


What is your approach to retouching?

With an extensive background in commercial portrait and beauty retouching, I can customize this to whatever specifications you like. Some people like full colorful creative and others like to keep it subtle and natural. Anything is possible and we will always discuss beforehand what you are after to make sure that the final image meets your needs and reflects your brand.

*Side note:* We stay away from blurry faces or anything overly retouched looking.


What is the turnaround time on retouching?

After the final selects have been made, the edits typically take about 7-14 business days. What?! You need it sooner?  Rush delivery is available upon request.


What happens after the editing & how do I get my images?

After the main portion of the editing is complete, I will send you over a sample (or proof) for you to approve. From there we make any further adjustments as needed.

Once we are both ecstatic about the shot, I will sharpen, finalize, and send it off in an email same day.


What form of payments do you take?

To avoid fees we prefer cash or check; but also accept Venmo and credit cards.

What guarantee do you offer?

We absolutely stand behind our work and promise that you will love your new images. We will be clear and informative throughout the process but if for some reason you are still unhappy with your images or any part of the process, we will gladly book another session for you at no cost.

Is there a deposit?

Yes. Deposits are a sign of respect and commitment. There is a $100 deposit for each person. If you can’t make your shoot for any reason we will hold your deposit until you are ready.

What’s your cancellation/deferral policy?

If for any reason you need to cancel, we will happily reschedule you but we must get a 48 hour notice. If you cancel with less than 48 hours you will need to pay for half of the cost of the missed session. If you cancel within 24 hours, you will have to pay for the full amount.


Do you offer discounts?

If three or more people book together (more the merrier) the higher the discount. Bring your friends! If all of your friends are busy, but you are nice and we vibe; then maybe. Anything is possible.

On the low, we also give discounts to local businesses / not-for-profits who we think are doing important things. We generally contact them directly but if you think your business deserves a discount, reach out and tell us why.
